We bear witness because we believe that the church exists for the good of all people and the glory of God. The risen Lord Jesus has told his followers to “go and make disciples” and ‘the love of Christ compels us’ to bear witness to our faith.

Knowing God and having received his love we strive to make him known. We do this as we love one another and live as citizens of the kingdom of God reaching out with the good news of God’s love for the world.

The picture on the right is of a window in our church and it depicts Andrew who was a disciple of Jesus. Andrew is an example to us of someone who bore witness to Jesus. Three times in the gospels we read of him bringing someone to Jesus: Simon Peter, the boy with five loaves and two fish, and some Greeks who had said, “we would like to see Jesus.”

Like Andrew we have a desire to bring others to Jesus because the life that he brings is one of such joy that we must share it with everyone.
